From the 01st January 2009 all existing dwellings are required by law to provide a BER (Building Energy Rating) to prospective buyers and tenants. A BER is a standard calculation of the energy performance of a building and must be carried out by a qualified assessor.
BER will make the energy performance characteristics of the building transparent to prospective buyers and tenants allowing them take energy performance into consideration in their decision to purchase or rent a property. This awareness is expected over time to place a somewhat higher value on more energy efficient properties.
Falcondale Properties Ltd has negotiated and engaged the services of a local company who have over 15 years experience of the building industry and are qualified, registered assessors with SEI (Sustainable Energy Ireland).
